I have been working in the insurance sector for 20 years, during which time I have participated in numerous professional events, conferences, external partner meetings and events organised by myself. They have provided me with a wealth of experience, expertise and valuable human contacts. Every time I am invited to an event, whether it is a meeting of five people or a conference of a thousand, I look forward with the same curiosity, inner excitement and professional humility to being a speaker. I believe that a company owner or manager can achieve long-term success if he or she remains the direct person he or she was when the company was founded and pays special attention to human relations.

At the Awards Gala of the Hungarian National Motorsport Federation Circuit Racing

It was a great honour for me to personally congratulate Norbert Kiss on his sixth European Championship title at the European Truck Championship after the successful year-opening event in Szombathely at the Hungarian National Motorsport Federation’s Circuit Racing Awards Gala. I sincerely hope that in 2025 he will achieve the record performance that will make him the most successful seven-time European Champion in the history of the European Truck Speed Championship.

Recharging the batteries at our three-day leadership year-opening event

We closed our three-day year-opening leadership event recharged both professionally and personally.
On Thursday, we crowned the day with a fantastic community-building game by board game designer Zoltán Győri, while Friday was spent building strategy and defining personal leadership goals. Thank you to all my fellow leaders for their active participation and commitment to our company!
We are moving forward with great energy and a pinpointed strategy for 2025 to achieve our common plans.

Presentation of the “Broker of the Year 2024 Award”

It was with great pleasure for me, as the President of the Association of Hungarian Insurance Consultants, to present the prestigious awards to the winners of the “Broker of the Year 2024” competition. Based on the total scores, Kőrös-Blank Biztosítási Alkusz Kft. and Hungarikum Biztosítási Alkusz Zrt. came first with 299 points. They were followed by Eurorisk Biztosítási Alkusz Kft. with 296 points and Pannon-Safe Biztosítási Alkusz Kft. in third place with 289 points.

I would like to heartily congratulate all the winners on their achievements and wish them further professional success for the 2025 financial year!

Unwavering commitment towards the work of the Ecumenical Aid Organisation

Hungarikum Alkusz was proud to join the Adventive Fundraising of the Ecumenical Aid Organisation in 2024. The aid organisation announced the results of the fundraising at its press conference, on the occasion of which they thanked all the supporters, partners, donors and volunteers of the collaboration. More than 600 thousand persons joined the objectives set by the Aid Organisation. I am extremely proud that our company adopted one day of the festive food distribution in Budapest, where our colleagues also assisted as volunteers. Our commitment is unwavering towards supporting the sacrificing work of the Ecumenical Aid Organisation, and in the spirit of our strategic partnership we will also join its programs several times this year.

At the first meeting of this year, we have dealt with starting the electrical engineer training, with the establishment of the steel industrial competence centre and with the other development plans involving the university and the innovation possibilities of education, as highlighted topics.

We conceived the Partner Program of Hungarikum Alkusz in 2019 together with Dr. Gábor Vass, my manager colleague. 41 insurance mediator teams joined us since starting of this program, all of whom have been the members of our professional community since then.

The basis of co-operation is open communication and mutual trust, therefore, it is important for us to have the opportunity to also meet personally from time to time and to have informal discussions in the framework of a pleasant lunch. During my professional career, I have encountered many experts in the Hungarian insurance market who became role models, from whom I learned a lot and whose advice I still apply today. It is therefore particularly important for me to share my own experiences with my colleagues.
At Hungarikum Alkusz, we pay particular attention to sharing knowledge and running “internal workshops”. This is what we did this morning, when we discussed with my colleagues in sales how to build a future-proof insurance portfolio for a company, to continuously manage contracts and to develop along with customers in the field of insurance solutions.

I was very pleased to join the PÉNZ7 education programme as a volunteer, giving a presentation on strategic planning and entrepreneurial knowledge at the BGSC Keleti Károly Vocational Secondary School of Economics this morning. Through my personal life story, I tried to illustrate the challenges I faced when I started building my own business at the age of twenty-seven.
The openness and active participation of young people gave me an enormous energy! I am proud to have been working in the insurance sector for 20 years now and to do my job every day with the same enthusiasm and belief. I believe that as many young people as possible should discover the beauty of the insurance profession and the huge opportunities it offers.

Recognition as an
Honorary Associate Professor

It was a great honour and surprise. Based on the decision of the Széchenyi István University and the Senate, I was awarded the title of ” Honorary Associate Professor”, which I received at a ceremonial event.

The close cooperation with the University of Győr was launched in 2022, when we created the Insurance and Financial Consultancy course, which is a gap filler in the Hungarian market. Since then, the second class started in September 2024 and 96 students have already enrolled the course.

I am grateful for this honour and I will be committed to supporting the work of the University in the future.

Meeting 2025

There are significant moments in everyone’s life that evoke such deep emotions that can bring tears to the eyes.

For me, today was such a moment, as the opening ceremony of Brokerslink Europe Meeting 2025 began in Budapest. As the host of the event, the professional team of the Hungarikum Alkusz had already started to organise the event a year ago in cooperation with the Brokerslink world organisation. It was an uplifting feeling to see this prestigious event with the participation of 29 countries becoming a reality today.

I am grateful to my colleagues for their dedicated work, to Brokerslink worldwide organisation for their warm welcome and for the professional support over the past three years, which has enabled us to serve our customers across the widest possible spectrum.

In 2024, the Hungarian insurance market generated a 12.4% increase in premium income, and we expect a similar increase in 2025. A much-discussed topic is the rise of artificial intelligence and strengthening the sector’s capacity to innovate. I still believe that personal sales are inescapable and digital solutions are a tool in the sales chain to achieve a higher customer experience.

Historic milestone in the insurance brokerage market

With the approval of the Association of Hungarian Insurance Consultants’ (Hungarian abbreviation: MBTSZ) package of proposals, the Széchenyi Card Programme loan application has become available.

As a result of the cooperation between the Ministry of National Economy, the Association of Hungarian Insurance Consultants (MBTSZ), KAVOSZ Zrt. and Garantiqa Hitelgarancia Zrt., the loan application related to the Széchenyi Card Programme is now available for companies engaged in insurance sales and brokerage activities (NACE 6622).

I am proud that, with the active involvement of the Association of Hungarian Insurance Consultants and the support of the Ministry of National Economy, insurance brokerage has been removed from the list of discriminated categories of activities for certain financing programmes and tenders. I consider the acceptance of the above-mentioned proposal to be a historic step in the life of the insurance brokerage sector, as similar efforts affecting the profession have been pending for more than three decades.

The DRK Volleyball Hungarian Cup, which was supported by Hungarikum Alkusz among others, was a great success at the DVTK Arena this weekend.

Recognition as an
Honorary Associate Professor

It was a great honour and surprise. Based on the decision of the Széchenyi István University and the Senate, I was awarded the title of ” Honorary Associate Professor”, which I received at a ceremonial event.

The close cooperation with the University of Győr was launched in 2022, when we created the Insurance and Financial Consultancy course, which is a gap filler in the Hungarian market. Since then, the second class started in September 2024 and 96 students have already enrolled the course.

I am grateful for this honour and I will be committed to supporting the work of the University in the future.

Meeting 2025

There are significant moments in everyone’s life that evoke such deep emotions that can bring tears to the eyes.

For me, today was such a moment, as the opening ceremony of Brokerslink Europe Meeting 2025 began in Budapest. As the host of the event, the professional team of the Hungarikum Alkusz had already started to organise the event a year ago in cooperation with the Brokerslink world organisation. It was an uplifting feeling to see this prestigious event with the participation of 29 countries becoming a reality today.

I am grateful to my colleagues for their dedicated work, to Brokerslink worldwide organisation for their warm welcome and for the professional support over the past three years, which has enabled us to serve our customers across the widest possible spectrum.

A much-discussed topic is the rise of artificial intelligence and strengthening the sector’s capacity to innovate. Historic milestone in the insurance brokerage market

With the approval of the Association of Hungarian Insurance Consultants’ (Hungarian abbreviation: MBTSZ) package of proposals, the Széchenyi Card Programme loan application has become available.

As a result of the cooperation between the Ministry of National Economy, the Association of Hungarian Insurance Consultants (MBTSZ), KAVOSZ Zrt. and Garantiqa Hitelgarancia Zrt., the loan application related to the Széchenyi Card Programme is now available for companies engaged in insurance sales and brokerage activities (NACE 6622).

I am proud that, with the active involvement of the Association of Hungarian Insurance Consultants and the support of the Ministry of National Economy, insurance brokerage has been removed from the list of discriminated categories of activities for certain financing programmes and tenders. I consider the acceptance of the above-mentioned proposal to be a historic step in the life of the insurance brokerage sector, as similar efforts affecting the profession have been pending for more than three decades.

I am proud that today 47 students received their certificates of successful completion of the insurance and financial consultancy training, which was made possible by the cooperation between the Association of Hungarian Insurance Consultants and Széchenyi István University. I consider it very important to collect direct feedback from the students on the two semesters of the training, so that we can learn from the feedback and improve the teaching material. Two years ago, I had the honour of becoming a member of the Board of Trustees. From the first time I was impressed by the commitment and professionalism of the Director General and the members of the Board of Trustees. I am delighted to become an active member of the organisation.

Although this meeting in Szekszárd was held in a Christmas atmosphere, there was a lot of professional work going on. The University of Dunaújváros is making dynamic progress towards its goals, and in 2025 a number of programmes will be implemented that will further strengthen the reputation and market value of the educational institution. A historic milestone that has taken the insurance training system to a higher level

I am proud that today 47 students received their certificates of successful completion of the insurance and financial consultancy training, which was made possible by the cooperation between the Association of Hungarian Insurance Consultants and Széchenyi István University. I consider it very important to collect direct feedback from the students on the two semesters of the training, so that we can learn from the feedback and improve the teaching material. I am very pleased that the feedback confirmed that we were able to offer something new even to professionals with 20 years of professional experience.

Two years ago, I had the honour of becoming a member of the Board of Trustees. From the first time I was impressed by the commitment and professionalism of the Director General and the members of the Board of Trustees. I am delighted to become an active member of the organisation.

Although this meeting in Szekszárd was held in a Christmas atmosphere, there was a lot of professional work going on. The University of Dunaújváros is making dynamic progress towards its goals, and in 2025 a number of programmes will be implemented that will further strengthen the reputation and market value of the educational institution. I am proud to be actively involved in all of these.

Thanks to the strategic partnership between Takarékbank Zrt. and HUNBankbiztosítás Közvetítő Kft., the one bank, but several insurers sales model was the first to appear on the Hungarian market. Since 6 January 2021 a wide range of insurance products has been available in the Takarékbank branch network.

As a responsible domestic company, it is of paramount importance for Hungarikum Alkusz to respond quickly and with the right tools to the social needs that surround us. That is why it was clear to me that I could not ignore the request of an organisation like the Hungarian Water Rescue Service. I am delighted that the support will enable the water rescuers to carry out their work with even more modern equipment than before and with sufficient quantities of mineral water even during the heatwave.

The Budapest Stock Exchange has selected Hungarikum Biztosítási Alkusz Kft. as a BÉT50 company for 2021. At that time, the BÉT50 portfolio was expanded to include 50 capital-strong domestic companies with the potential to become internationally dominant market players in their own field. I am very proud that Hungarikum Alkusz is currently the only domestically-owned brokerage company in the insurance market to have received this prestigious recognition.

Every morning at three o’clock the alarm clock rings in Erik Keszthelyi’s home. The father of two leaves for Pest at four in the morning, parks in the garage of his Róbert Károly boulevard office at around 5.30 a.m. It’s not unusual for him to start the day with meetings at six in the morning.

In 2019, Hungarikum Alkusz achieved explosive growth compared to the previous year. While in 2018 its net sales amounted to HUF 2.4 billion, in the 2019 financial year it exceeded HUF 4.4 billion. This outstanding market growth is based on a sound business strategy and a conscious market building. As a Hungarian company, I see us as being more competitive than our international competitors, among other things, because we can react extremely quickly to market changes thanks to our infrastructure and the management’s ability to make decisions immediately.
